User Guide

This page documents how Bloom currently works and will be expanded as features are added.

1. Access and Login

  • Home page explains app purpose and access contact details.
  • Users sign in on the Login page.
  • After login, users are redirected to the Dashboard.

2. Dashboard and Projects

  • Dashboard shows the latest 5 projects.
  • Create New Project requires title, optional description, and optional due date.
  • New projects default to status New.
  • Project titles are clickable and open the project details page.

3. Project Page

  • Project page shows status, due date, date created, builder, owner, and project id.
  • Builder value is clickable. This opens a menu to assign a builder.
  • If no builder is assigned, the page shows No builder assigned.

4. Status Workflow

  • Status value is clickable and opens a transition menu.
  • Allowed transitions are enforced by the app:
  • New -> In Progress
  • In Progress -> New or Under Review
  • Under Review -> In Progress or Complete
  • Complete -> In Progress or Won or Lost
  • Won -> Complete
  • Lost -> Complete
  • When a project moves to In Progress, the user making that change becomes the owner.

5. Builders Management

  • Builders page is available from the header menu for JMC users.
  • JMC users can create builders, rename them, enable/disable them, and assign users to builders.

6. Project Visibility

  • Users assigned to one or more builders only see projects for their assigned builders.
  • JMC users with no builder assignments can see all projects.
